DETAILS:
Every year about this time, as the earliest hints of warmer weather begin to appear, Annie comes up with a magnificent series of spring jackets. It's one of her fortes. This is the first for the 2011 season.
It's designed with plenty of lagenlook "hot off the runway" fashion appeal, but there's also a touch of the 1920's Gibson Girl in the collar, the lower waistline and the hemline ruffling and the longer maxi-length and the hood add an eastern mystique.
Annie starts out with a button front closure, a sailor-like collar that morphs into a hood (with drawstring,) full-length sleeves and an overall a-line and very flowing form.
The sweetest pair of gathered, angled and scooped pockets (Yippee!) add style and convenience draped around each hip and an asymmetric, angled tier of ruffling (narrowest at the front/back centers and deepest at each hip) creates a 'dropped waist' look as well as a generous helping of winsome charm.
Made up in Lotustraders' trademark and top quality smooth rayon, a fabric with premier draping qualities and a silky, smooth finish you're sure to enjoy.
This is another spring coat /dress that will go down in record-books as one of Annie's masterworks. It scores a 10 on the charm-o-meter. And it's an authentica fashion gem.
